Welcome to my book How Orchids Rebloom!
Hello my name is Chuck McClung. I’m a lifelong plant enthusiast, botanist, and gardening instructor in the San Diego area. Over the years, I’ve assisted literally thousands of people with their orchid questions and problems. Long ago I realized that most orchid books lacked what my clients really wanted to know.

The most common questions I encountered were often not directly addressed in books:
“What do I do now that my orchid is done blooming?”
“How do I select the best orchid?”
“My friend just gave me an orchid; how do I get it to rebloom?”
There are many different ways to explain orchids. Books on “orchid care and cultivation” simply aren’t that engaging and tend to encourage nap time.

I’ve developed what I’ve been told is a simple, structured, easy-to-follow approach to “how orchids rebloom”.
Many people told me that I should write a book, “but write it the way you say it,” they said, “not the way it’s written in books.”
Think of it this way: There are many “things” we have that “do something” if we follow the instructions. For example, you purchase a new food processor, and it comes with the instruction manual that tells you how to chop, puree, whatever.
What if getting your orchid to rebloom could be as easy as following a simple instruction manual?! IT IS THAT EASY!
Here are the three requirements for all orchids to rebloom. It’s right on the back cover of How Orchids Rebloom; you don’t even have to open the book!
1) You must know what kind of orchid you have, so that you can
2) Find out what the native habitat of orchid is like. And if you
3) Reproduce the conditions found in your orchid’s native habitat,
YOUR ORCHID MUST REBLOOM!
It is that easy!
